Man (38) facing human trafficking charges

A 38 year old man has been charged with human trafficking and sexual offences.

He was arrested on Tuesday evening after reports a woman was being assaulted outside a house in South Belfast.

Police say they are supporting a 36 year old Eastern European woman who they suspect is a victim of human trafficking.

The man will appear in Belfast Magistrate's court later today.
