L'Derry police investigate sudden death

Police in Londonderry are investigating the sudden death of a man.
The 56-year-old was found with injuries in the communal stairway of an apartment block in Iniscarn Crescent on Monday night.
He passed away in hospital this morning.
Detective Inspector Michael Winters said: “A post mortem examination will take place in due course to determine the cause of death.
"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Iniscarn Crescent on Monday evening and who witnessed the man falling or anyone with any information about the incident to contact Detectives in Strand Road."
Sinn Féin Councillor Kevin Campbell said “There is shock in the Creggan area following hearing this sad news today.I would like to convey my condolences to the deceased man’s family at this time.”
