Four arrested in connection with assault on man in Kilrea

A man has been assaulted with a number of weapons in Kilrea.

It happened during a break-in at a house on Monday evening, in the Garvagh Road area.

He sustained extensive injuries to his head, face and body.

Police say four people - a woman and three men - have been arrested in connection with the incident and the report of an earlier assault on the same victim.
