Noah Donohoe's mother, Fiona, has met with Sinn Fein President Mary Lou MacDonald today at Belfast City Hall (Friday).
The meeting comes as Fiona has remaining questions on the investigation in to her son's death.
Speaking ahead of their conversation today, Mary Lou MacDonald made clear Sinn Fein will support and help Fiona in every 'possible way'.
"This will be my first opportunity to meet with Fiona and the first thing I will do is to express our profound sympathy and sadness on the loss of her beloved Noah," she said.
"We will make clear to her that we will be supportive and helpful in every possible way we can."
Noah, a 14-year-old pupil at St Malachy's College, was found dead in a storm drain in north Belfast in June 2020, six days after he went missing.
A coroner's investigation into the death of the teenager in June 2020 is ongoing.
