Where and when does the event kick off at? The Christmas Lights Switch On takes place in front of Belfast City Hall from 6.30pm - 7.15pm
Who will be there? Join the Cool FM Breakfast Show crew alongside The Lord Mayor, Alderman Brian Kingston, with entertainment provided by Lily of Lily’s Driftwood Bay, The Clangers Tiny and Small with the choir from Springfield Primary School.
How do I get tickets for the event? All tickets for the Christmas Lights Switch On have now been allocated. Tickets booked online must be collected from the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre no later than 5pm on Thursday 17 November. Please bring your ticket confirmation email with you when collecting your tickets.
Will the city centre be packed with traffic to the event? With both the build of the Christmas market and Christmas Lights Switch On, traffic will be busy in the area so expect delays and follow the alternative route signage eastbound and northbound from the city centre.
What will the weather be like? Saturday will mostly be clear with a few clouds, but at only 6C, you will most definitely need to be wrapped up in your winter woolies to fully enjoy the event.
For those attending the market and not the Christmas lights switch-on During the Christmas lights switch-on event (5.30pm to 8pm) there will be no access through the switch-on site for those wishing to attend the market. Diversionary routes for pedestrians are in place via Fountain Lane / Fountain Street. There is no entry into the switch-on site from City Hall grounds and the show will not be relayed onto the screen within the Christmas Market.
