Detectives investigate armed robbery in Holywood

Police are investigating after a man armed with a gun and knife demanded money from a Holywood business.

Shortly after 8:35 on Friday night, a man entered the premises in the Hibernia Street area. He made off on foot with a sum of cash - but was pursued by a staff member.

The money was recovered and the suspect made off from the scene in the direction of Mara Gardens.

The suspect is described as wearing a grey hooded top, black shorts, black hat and black face covering.
