Community in 'fear' after Bessbrook stabbing

Police want to speak to any witnesses.

The stabbing of a man through his open car window in Bessbrook, County Armagh, has caused "deep fear and huge annoyance" among the community.

Police say they want witnesses to get in touch after the incident on Easter Monday afternoon at around 4.40pm.

A man in his 20s was sitting in his vehicle in the Ard Aveen Park area when he was set upon by a man with a knife.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are thought to be serious but not life threatening.
