An ‘ongoing incident’ is causing disruption in Co Down this morning.

The Old Holywood Road has been cordoned off from the traffic signals at Knocknagoney Road to Jacksons Road. It is expected that the route will be closed most of the morning.

A PSNI spokesperson added: "Please seek an alternative route for your journey where possible."

Meanwhile, contractors are at the scene of one fallen tree on the Bangor Road in Groomsport.

Motorists have been advised to seek alternative routes for their journey until the route has been cleared.

The Shore Road, near Mill Road, in Belfast has been closed due to flooding.

There are also fallen trees blocking the Derrynawilt Road in Rosslea, Co Fermanagh and both the Greenfield Road and Liminary Road in Kells, Co Antrim.
