Firefighters were still at Cave Hill Country Park in north Belfast today (Thursday) after a night of battling against a raging gorse fire.

Fire crews stayed overnight after bringing the blaze under control.

A number of people shared photos on social media last night - showing a plume of smoke coming from the popular city vantage point.

At one stage firefighters deployed a drone to help them assess the overall picture.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Fire Service said there was no risk to life or property - but that residents should keep windows and doors closed.
