Man armed with shotgun attempted to burgle property in Newtownards
Two men have attempted to burgle a property in Newtownards, one was armed with a shotgun.
Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary in the Ardmore Avenue area of Newtownards on yesterday evening, (February 17th).
A police spokesperson said: “It was reported at around 11.05, that a short time earlier, two men had entered the property with their faces covered and one was armed with a shotgun. They threatened a young man before making off from the area. The victim has not suffered any injuries during the incident. "
Enquiries are ongoing and detectives would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact 101 quoting reference number CW 1855- 17/02/24.
