2020 has changed everything. As families unexpectedly face poverty, sadly more and more children in Northern Ireland face the reality of waking up to no present under the tree on Christmas morning.

Throughout December Cash for Kids launch their Mission Christmas appeal to ensure that every child in Northern Ireland wakes up to a present on 25th December.

With thousands of applications to fill, every year they are faced with a huge challenge and often fulfilling the older teenage groups can be tricky.

This week CastleCourt's hugely popular BPerfect Cosmetics brand got in touch with Cash for Kids wanting to help, making a jaw dropping £76,000 product donation to the appeal, ensuring that 4,000 teenagers will receive gifts on Christmas morning.

Brendan McDowell CEO says: This year Cash for Kids really stood out to me because it’s a local charity and we’ve just opened our very first BPerfect Megastore in Belfast. The store in CastleCourt has been really successful and we wanted to give back to the local community here. We are donating cosmetics for teenage girls and boys, as the charity has highlighted a need for teenage gifts. I think it would be amazing for a teenager to get a product from BPerfect Cosmetics that will help them feel that wee bit better about themselves, and brighten up their Christmas morning. CastleCourt Centre Manager, Leona Barr, says “We want to thank BPerfect Cosmetics for their unbelievably generous donation. We are all blown away and really can’t thank them enough.

2020 has been a hard year for many families, so it’s our mission, alongside Cash for Kids, that every child in need will wake to a present on Christmas morning.”

At CastleCourt Shopping Centre, you can find the Cash for Kids donation point on the ground floor, situated between the Beleaf Juice Bar and the Del Pieros kiosk. Gifts must be new and unwrapped (not in wrapping paper) and can be for any age group from 0 - teens. Simply drop your gift inside the white picket fence, and these will be collected and shipped by our inhouse team.
