Bomb uncovered in Belfast

A bomb has been found in a vehicle in west Belfast.

A number of homes were evacuated during the security operation in White Rise in Dunmurry on Thursday.

Police were responding to a report that the vehicle window was smashed and the suspicious object was spotted inside.

ATO were sent to the scene and declared it was a viable explosive device.

It's been taken away for further examination.
