Body found after Fermanagh crash

A man's body has been discovered in Fermanagh after a car crash in Maguiresbridge.

The incident happened on the village's Main Street at 1.15pm today (Monday), and after the collision, the male driver of one of the cars left the scene of the crash.

A man's body was discovered a short distance away on the Belfast Road just over half an hour later.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death and police are still carrying out inquiries into the circumstances of the man's death.

The Belfast Road remained closed on Monday evening.

A PSNI statement said: "Anyone with any information about this incident or who may have captured dash-cam footage from the area which could assist with police enquiries, is asked to call officers at Enniskillen on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 983 09/08/21, or submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/."
