His mother Charlotte is walking the full journey, with Billy taking part along the way.
They began the long trek from Castlederg on Tuesday and will arrive at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday.
It is in a bid to secure access to medicinal cannabis oil for Billy, a treatment that saw his seizures top for six months when he received it in America.
"This is the boy that they sent home to die," Charlotte said.
"For me as his mum, I just can't let that happen, I'll never give up on him.
"The walk is for the medicine that is actually controlling Billy's seizures at the moment, which is CBD with THC (medicinal cannabis oil).
"Basically I'm trying to get the RVH doctors to recognise that this is the medicine that is controlling the seizures and allow me to bring him home from Los Angeles indefinitely."
