The 29-year-old had been confronted at around 7.30pm in the Stiles Way area by two people, one of them armed with a knife.

He was then chased through a housing estate before getting to the restaurant, where staff hid him in a back office until police arrived.

Two men aged 18 and 44 were arrested on suspicion of a number of assault and public order offences.
