2 staff injured in Daisy Hill attack

Two members of staff at Daisy Hill hospital have been attacked by a patient.

This morning a nurse suffered cuts to her neck and face, while a healthcare assistant was stabbed.

The Southern Trust says their injuries are not life threatening.

One of them remains in the hospital's emergency department as a precaution.

A 57-year-old man has been arrested.
