Petrol bombs thrown at house in Ballymena

Two bricks were thrown at the house, smashing a front room window, followed by the bombs, one of which hit the house.

The devices were thrown at the house in the Railway Street area , with two people inside, during the early hours of Friday morning.

There was scorch damage caused around a window frame and the front door of the property.

Thankfully, a man and a woman inside the house were uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers said:“I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity at all in the area to contact Detectives in Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 9 of 23/02/18.
