Highlights from day one at the Balmoral Show

Author: Emma DicksonPublished 11th May 2022

Thousands streamed through the gates of the 153rd Balmoral Show today.

There was plenty of sunshine and of course a touch of rain, but there were lots of smiling faces across the site.

Our Downtown Show Stage with Randox Health offered visitors to the show a place to relax, unwind and boogie.

We had performances from Justin McGurk and the Ennis Brothers in the afternoon. Be sure to pop down if you're visiting, we've got lots of other exciting stars joining us throughout the weekend.

There was everything from show-jumping to quad bikes, farm yard animals to colourful characters on stilts and everything in between. Families of all ages had a blast at the show today.

We've still got three more exciting days to look forward to also.
