It's believed that Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page has been cast in the film adaptation of fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons. Which coincidently is due to start filming in Belfast's Titanic Studios very soon.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Page is set to have a leading role in the feature film, but no details were revealed about the part he would play.

It won’t be the first time this iconic board game has been adapted for the big screen, a film was first released back in 2000. The latest reboot of the fantasy feature will be created by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Who else has been cast in Dungeons and Dragons so far?

Other cast members included in the upcoming project are Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith.

You'll recognise Chris Pine from blockbuster movies such as Wonder Woman and Star Trek. Michelle Rodriguez is best-known for her appearances in the Fast and Furious franchise and Avatar. Meanwhile you might have seen Justice Smith take to the big screen in Pokémon: Detective Pikachu and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

High Praise from Shonda Rhimes

Page was included on Time magazine's 100 Next list last week, with Bridgerton producer Shonda Rhimes paying tribute. "Regé is a singular talent whose prospects are limitless. Today, he may be our duke. By tomorrow...not even I can dream big enough to imagine."

If you've already binged series one of Netflix's Bridgerton, you shouldn't have too long to wait for the second season. It's already been confirmed that filming will take place later this year. The second series follows Daphne's brother Anthony Bridgerton's journey to finding his best suitor.
