Belfast actor Anthony Boyle set to star in new Masters of the Air series

Belfast actor Anthony Boyle is set to take the world by strom in the upcoming Second World War drama Masters of the Air coming to Apple TV.

Boyle who started his acting career on the West End stage as Malfoy in Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, will play Major Harry Crosby.

The nine-episode limited series, also features Elvis actor Austin Butler, Saltburn’s Barry Keoghan, Fantastic Beasts' Callum Turner and Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa.

Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman produced the series, which will follow the true story of a US bomber group during the war.

What is Masters of the Air about?

Masters of the Air is based on Donald L Miller's 2007 book of the same name.

It brings to life the stories of brave airmen who served during World War Two.

According to IMDB: "During WWII, five miles above the ground and behind enemy lines, eleven men inside a bomber known as a "Flying Fortress" battle unrelenting flocks of German fighters."

Masters of the Air will launch on Apple TV+ on Friday 26th January.
