Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs break Billboard Chart record

Morgan Wallen's 'Last Night' and Luke Combs' cover of Tracy Chapman’s 1988 classic 'Fast Car' have secured the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in 42 years.

This recent achievement highlights just how popular the thriving genre is in 2023.

It's the first time this has happened since Eddie Rabbitt’s ‘I Love a Rainy Night’ and Dolly Parton’s iconic ‘9 to 5’ went No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in 1981.

In addition, the album that spawned Wallen's latest Hot 100 chart-topping hit, One Thing A Time, has held onto its position at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for its 14th week.
