Irish Country star Lisa McHugh chats exercise, snapchat and winning over NI girls
Chatting to Stuart Banford on Downtown Country Drive this week, Glaswegian born Lisa insists she doesn’t see herself as the Queen of Irish Country.

The 27-year-old credits her family with her hard work ethic and admits she is a bit of a workaholic. Lisa describes herself as “very determined” and “loves a challenge.”
The Country star moved here from Glasgow in 2010 and now lives in Enniskillen.
Although she faced a challenge in winning over the female audience, she said she was welcomed with open arms when she made the move over here.
Lisa says social media allows her fans to see every aspect of her life.
“It’s definitely not a glamourous lifestyle, it’s more of an eye opener for people to see the behind the scenes life on social media,” she said.
#Lisalive, her most recent album was recorded from a live gig at the marketplace in Armagh.
She described the experience as a “the most fulfilling project” she has ever done, despite all of the sleepless nights.
Her latest tour aptly named #Countrytour has had a great reception province wide having sold out at the Waterfront on March 23. There are still tickets left for her performance alongside Garry Gamble at the Millenium forum on March 10.
