Brad Paisley is a man who needs no introduction after having released 10 studio albums and picked up three Grammies, fourteen CMA and fourteen ACM trophies, but his new album does!

“Love and War” his 11th studio album, hit shelves and hard drives on Friday 21st April and is packed full of original “Brad” songs and an amazing amount of collaborations. One of the most notable is a track titled “Drive of Shame” which was co-written by Paisley and Mick Jagger.

Jagger and The Rolling Stones were performing in Nashville is 2015 as part of their Zip Code Tour and when Brad approached Jagger with regards to “writing, recording and goofing around” Jagger’s reply was “How’s September?”.

In a recent interview with CMT about working with Jagger, Brad went on to say; “It’s amazing to me the energy level of this man, having accomplished everything he’s accomplished,” he added of Jagger. “He still has a hunger about him and wanting to be creative.”

Also on the album are collaborations with John Fogerty (“Love and War”), Timbaland (“Solar Powered Girl & Grey Goose Chase”) and Bill Anderson (“Dying to See Her”)

They each teamed up with Brad back at his famous Yellow Farmhouse Studio to thrash out the words.

Last night Paisley hired out the top floor in the iconic Tootsies Orchid Lounge on Broadway in Nashville for a special 90 minute gig, joined by John Fogerty, Bill Anderson and Timbaland. The show was one that would remain unforgettable for anyone that attended, especially when Paisley came out with one liners such as “There are 500 bands covering John Fogerty songs tonight, but we’re the only one doing it with John Fogerty,”

The night went along unscripted with the band just figuring out what to play as they went along as well as the duo taking requests from the crowd.

In finishing up Paisley went on to say “Thank you for playing this fantasy (show) with me,” Paisley told Fogerty.

“Are you kidding? This is great!” Fogerty replied.

For the last song, Paisley asked: “Are you guys ready to come unglued? Are you ready to come unglued?”

Fogerty hit the first few notes of “Proud Mary” as the crowd cheered.

“Told ya,” Paisley quipped.”

Paisley partnered up with Apple Music for this album to make “Love & War” country music’s first visual album…meaning he recorded a separate video for all of the sixteen tracks on the album.

The “Love and War” album features this week on Kirstie’s show as her album of the week, so make sure and tune in to see what the fuss is about!
