Country superstar Brad Paisley is headlining the final night of the 2024 Country to Country Belfast.

The American born country music singer songwriter has contributed to some of the country music genres greatest hits.

Known for his ultra-talented guitar skills, witty lyrics and a smooth blend of traditional and contemporary country sounds. Having received widespread recognition and achieving fame within the country music industry in the late 1990’s.

Paisley signed with Arista Nashville Records in 1999, releasing his debut album "Who Needs Pictures," later that same year. The album featured hit singles "He Didn't Have to Be" and "Me Neither," that both helped establish Paisley as a notable artist in the country music scene.

However, it was his second album “Part II," released in 2001, that solidified the artists success. The album included hit songs like "Mud on the Tires" and "I'm Gonna Miss Her". His early on set successes marked for a strong beginning in Paisleys rise to country stardom.

Where is Brad Paisley from?

Brad Paisley was born on October 28, 1972, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, USA. Having spent his early life in West Virginia, it was there he developed a passion for country music and playing the guitar.

Paisley's upbringing in the Appalachian region influenced his musical style like many country artists including Loretta Lynn, Jimmy Martin and Jean Ritchie known as the “Mother of Folk”. The Appalachian style of singing can be heard through ballad singing, bluegrass, blues, early country, gospel, mountain swing, and old-time.

He later moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue his career in the country music industry. With Nashville recognized as the country music capital, it was the perfect place for Paisley and many artists, to go to establish themselves in the country music scene.

Who Needs Pictures (1999)- This was Paisley's debut album and included hits like "He Didn't Have to Be" and "Me Neither."

Part II (2001) - This album featured successful singles such as "Mud on the Tires" and "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)."

Mud on the Tires (2003) - The title track and other songs from this album contributed to Paisley's growing popularity.

Time Well Wasted (2005) - This album included hits like "Alcohol" and "When I Get Where I'm Going" (a duet with Dolly Parton).

Brad Paisley Christmas (2006) - This is Paisley’s first Christmas album and fifth studio album, featuring s a mix of traditional Christmas songs and newly written songs. The track "Born on Christmas Day" was written by Paisley when he was thirteen years old.

5th Gear (2007) - This album featured singles like "Ticks" and "Online."

Play: The Guitar Album (2008) - Paisley’s seventh studio album is largely instrumental in nature, except for five vocal tracks including "Start a Band" (a duet with Keith Urban), later released as a single and has become Paisley's ninth consecutive Number One country hit, and his thirteenth overall.

American Saturday Night (2009) - The title track and other songs from this album were well-received.

This Is Country Music (2011) - His ninth studio album contains numerous collaborations with other artists, including Don Henley, Sheryl Crow, Blake Shelton, and Marty Stuart. Carrie Underwood also performs a duet titled "Remind Me", which is about a couple trying to regain their spark

Wheelhouse (2013) - This album included the single "Southern Comfort Zone."

Moonshine in the Trunk (2014) - It became Paisley's eighth album to hit No. 1 on Billboard's country chart. The song “River Bank” peaked at No.2 on the Country Airplay chart.

Love and War (2017) - This album featured collaborations with artists like John Fogerty and Mick Jagger.

Son of the Mountains (2023) - Released in 2023, Son of the Mountains is Paisleys newest album which reflects his love and worries for his home state regarding the ongoing opioid crisis.

Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards: Paisley has won several ACM Awards, including Top Male Vocalist and Album of the Year.

Brad Paisley is the final headliner this weekend at Country to Country 2024 in the SSE Arena, Belfast.
