We're Backing Country Queens #SaladGate
#SaladGate began with advice given to listeners by Keith Hill in the country publication Country Aircheck that “If you want to make ratings in country radio, take females out.” Hill continued to 'strengthen' his argument by comparing the male and female artists of the country world to salad... On the female artists in country music, “They’re just not the lettuce in our salad,” Hill explained. “The lettuce is Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and artists like that. The tomatoes of our salad are the females.”
Social media has exploded over these comments and the country music world won't be saying goodbye to its tomatoes just yet...
