Loretta Lynn is a name that has been synonymous with country music for the last 58 years.

Her first big hit came in In 1967 when she reached No 1 with 'Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)'. An album of the same name, also topped the charts and became one of the first albums by a female country artist to reach sales of 500,000 copies.

In May this year, Lynn suffered a stroke at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. As a result of this, she cancelled her remaining 2017 shows and delayed the launch of her new album 'Wouldn’t It Be Great’ until 2018.

Lynn took to the airwaves of the iconic WSM-AM radio station last week to make her announcement of her pending return to the stage at the Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival at her ranch

. ‘I’m gonna be there,” she said. “I’m gonna ride in on a motorcycle, of course I’m not gonna be driving.’ She went on to say, ‘I’m feeling good. I feel better than I should, really. I’ve taken a lot of time off, and I know everybody’s hollering about me being off so much, but I just got lazy, quit singing for a little while.’

The four-day event takes place from September 28 – October 1 and will feature the very best in motorcycle stunts, racing as well as some of the world’s top country, southern rock and Americana acts.
