Money was raised from the 'Cash for Kids Day' fundraising events in 2010 and 2011, which saw both Downtown Radio and Cool FM presenters broadcast from the children's hospice.

The focus of 2011's Cash for Kids Day Campaign was on ‘Buying Time’ for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. The money raised makes a significant difference to hundreds of children, young people and their families living in Northern Ireland.

The money we raised was to buy time that will provide the following services:

Hospice at Home Time – Providing specialized nursing care in the child and young persons own home.

Respite Care Time – Providing specialized nursing care for the child and young person in the Children’s Hospice.

Play Time – With expert play specialists to help, children can relax and enjoy play time like every child should.

Time to Relax – Expert physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and complementary therapy are provided in Hospice.

Time to Say Goodbye - Bereavement support for families. Hospice will be there to help a bereaved family come to terms with the sad loss of their child.

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice cares for children, young people who have life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. By understanding and acknowledging individual needs, Hospice has been able to provide each child and their family with the specialist care and support that they deserve. Cash for Kids are proud to have contributed to supporting disadvantaged local children and families at the Children's Hospice.
