Los Angeles to get its first Dog Film Festival
It's barking mad!
Following the success of the Dog Film Festival in New York, Los Angeles will be getting its turn this weekend.
The festival is designed to be 'a unique way of honouring dogs as true family members' and will feature two specially curated 'programmes' made up of short films and adverts about dogs.
Both programmes are suitable for all ages with the first one including a light-hearted selection of adverts and narrative films, while the second programme is described as thought-provoking and hilarious.
The festival isn't just about enjoying the flicks with 'man's best friend' though, there is a serious side to it and in each location that the Dog Film Festival visits there is a partner shelter which will benefit from ticket sales and adoptable dogs will be available at the event.
The Dog Film Festival was been set up by Tracie Hotchner, author and talk show host on the Radio Pet Lady Network.
If you just happen to be in the area, or fancy a trip across the Atlantic(!) then tickets are priced at $20 or for those who want something a little more extravagant $75 will get you an afternoon tea for you and your pooch with Melissa Rivers (goddaughter of the festival founder).
