Couple invited friends to a fancy dress party which turned out to be their wedding
They said it was a Halloween party!
Last week Lexie Roessler tweeted some photos of her parents' wedding and they have become phenomenally popular attracting 56k retweets and 120k hearts.
Wedding photos are fairly common, so what was so unusual about Lexie's parents?
Well the pair, who got married 24 years ago, decided to have a surprise wedding. They invited their friends and family to a fancy dress party and it was only when they turned up they realised they were there for the couple's special day.
The photos on Twitter show Lexie's mum wearing a traditional white wedding dress and her dad wearing a suit, however the next photo shows the guests unusual attire. One couple are dressed as 'Little Bo Peep' with a toy sheep and another lady is in a pink bunny suit carrying a drum saying 'Energizer'.
The couple told friends it was a Halloween party and they would be giving out prizes for the best costumes, so everyone made a big effort.
Many on Twitter have said that the Roesslers have given them relationship goals, however Lexie, who is 16-years-old said that growing up she thought it was normal.
Others on social media say they don't believe Lexie's photos are real and perhaps they even came from different occasions, however the 16-year-old hit back at those who didn't believe her sharing a photo showing Dracula as her dad's best man.
The Roesslers are clearly a family who don't take themselves too seriously as Lexie also tweeted a photo of her mum dressed as Shrek while she was going through chemo!
