Three charged to court in connection with death of toddler in Dungannon
Tavia was just weeks away from her 2nd birthday

A man and two women have been charged to court later in connection with the death of a toddler in County Tyrone.
23 month old Tavia Michella Ximenes Da Costa’s body was found in a house in the Windmill Court area of Dungannon last Sunday.
Police say the little girl was just weeks away from her second birthday.
She had connections to the East Timorese community in Dungannon.
Yesterday evening detectives confirmed a murder investigation has now been launched following the results of a post mortem.
A 29 year old man has been charged with murder and cruelty to children.
A 21 year old woman has been charged with manslaughter, causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable person, and cruelty to children meanwhile a 24 year old woman has been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable person, and cruelty to children.
PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Kelly said, “My thoughts, and sincere sympathy, are with little Tavia’s family members and loved ones whose worlds have been turned upside down.”
