There's just one day to go until the country goes to the polls in the General Election and we've managed to grab some time with both the main party leaders, Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer.

Our Political Editor Georgie Prodromou caught up with the Labour and Conservative leaders while they were on the election trail and sat down with them for a chat.

We speak to Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer

Sir Keir Starmer began by telling us what he would do if he did become Prime Minister after the elections:

"We will start straight away on the change that is necessary, the first steps to get the hospital appointments we desperately need, get the teachers we need, the police officers we need.

"But also to bring about something really important which is mindset change, I want to return politics to the politics of service where you're serving your country .. not your party."

We also asked Keir about what his Nando's order was (halloumi) and what the the last gig was that he went to... Taylor Swift.

"We went to Taylor Swift with the children, it was amazing - I learnt that my 13-and-a-half-year-old girl knows every word of every song of every album of Taylor Swift."

We also asked the labour leader about the NHS, GP appointments, violence against women and girls and how he'd protect his children from the spotlight if he did get the top job. You can hear all those answers in the interview above.

We speak to Conservative Party leader Rishi Sunak

Political Editor Georgie Prodromou started our chat with the Prime Minister by asking what it was like to become the first British Asian Prime Minister:

"Obviously it was a very special moment for me, my family and a special moment for the country, but what I think was even more remarkable about it is that it wasn't that big a deal and I think that speaks to the kind of country we are, we're the most successful multi-faith, multi-ethnic democracy anywhere in the world.

"I don't think my story would be possible in any other country in the world."

We also asked him about his role as a father: "I'm very blessed, I have two gorgeous girls and they're the great love of my life and I don't get to see them much, particularly in the last few weeks but what I'm doing is working hard to make them proud and working hard to make a difference to everyone's lives in our country, that's what motivates me every day."

Rishi's last gig was also Taylor Swift, but last year when he saw her while they were on holiday but he did tell us about a new music he's listening to:

"My newest thing music-wise which I've slowly been getting into over the past few months is country music!"

We also spoke to the Tory leader about immigration, taxes, plans for national service, racism in politics as well as being a big 'Swifty household'; you can hear all of that in the full interview above.
