Police Dog Chloe backs her namesake for World Cup glory
The German Shepherd was named in honour of Chloe Kelly
West Midlands' own Police Dog Chloe will be roaring on her namesake and the rest of the Lionesses as they target World Cup glory today.
The German Shepherd was named in honour of Chloe Kelly who scored the winning goal at last year's Euros and is part of the current England squad.
PD Chloe is going through our puppy development programme and the year-old pup has already proven a lucky charm, with the England forward scoring the winning penalty against Nigeria.
The canine is the offspring of PD Gunner who received a national award last year. for helping to hunt down one of the region's most wanted crime suspects.
Dog breed scheme manager, Dave Raymond, said: "The Lionesses have really done us proud and hopefully they can now bring home the trophy.
"PD Chloe has clearly taken inspiration from her namesake and is making progress with her development. She'll be cheering on Chloe and the rest of the Lionesses like the rest of us.”
The force is always keen to hear from people who would be able to assist with the development of our puppies and become a fosterer. For more information visit: here
