The King has visited a Manchester synagogue targeted during a terror attack earlier this month to pay his respects and show solidarity with the Jewish community.

Charles was welcomed by Rabbi Daniel Walker at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall, where the attack took place on 2nd October – Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

The monarch spent time at a memorial area outside the synagogue, where floral tributes and messages have been left in honour of the victims.

The attack saw 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie attempt to storm the synagogue, armed with a knife and wearing a fake suicide belt.

He had already driven a car at worshippers and killed two men – Adrian Daulby, 53, who tried to block the entrance to the synagogue, and Melvin Cravitz, 66.

Mr Daulby is believed to have been inadvertently shot dead by armed police responding to the unfolding violence.

Charles's visit is part of ongoing efforts to support those affected and to recognise the bravery and resilience of the community.
