Christmas traditions can typically include roast chickens, lots of wine and many enjoy a Terry's Chocolate Orange but a new creation has been invented... Chocolate Orange Mayo.
No, this isn't a strange nightmarish world, this is actually happening as manufacturer Terry's releases an unlikely product in collaboration with Heinz.
The two companies have joined forces to create a Chocolate Orange-flavoured mayonnaise, with the mashup being labelled the "world-first festive mash-up that you didn't know you needed".
It won't be on general sale though, only 200 jars are being made and given away in a competition.
Describing the product, the two brands say that the blend of chocolate orange segments and mayonnaise with orange oil and creme patissiere creates a "smooth and delicious spread that works perfectly dolloped onto your festive desserts or spread onto brioche, crumpets, pancakes, or croissants this festive season".
This is not the first invention for Heinz this Christmas, having launched its "Christmas Dinner" soup last month. In the tin included turkey, Brussels sprouts and pigs in blankets.
Speaking about the collaboration, Senior Brand Manager of Heinz, Maria Jantchi, said: " Here at Heinz, we are always innovating, and love creating fun new limited-edition products that we know our fans will love.
"So, this year we set out to create the most Christmassy mayo that we could think of. And who better to partner with for that than the iconic Terry's Chocolate Orange, everyone's favourite Christmas treat?"
Laure Gentil, Terry's Chocolate Orange marketing controller, said: "Since Terry's Chocolate Orange launched in 1932 we have never stopped innovating, growing, and launching new formats and flavours to delight our loyal fans, and we are proud to be continuing this this Christmas with our mayo mash up, which works perfectly as a delicious spread."
Anyone wishing to win a jar of the new combination can enter the competition on the Heinz website.
