Boss Ian Baraclough confirmed Evans would be joining the squad for the Luxembourg clash yesterday .
He revealed Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers had been in touch prior to their game at the King Power Stadium to say Evans would be taking part and asked if the defender could travel to Luxembourg.
Evans has 93 caps for his country to date, and Barraclough said he was delighted to be given the opportunity to join up with the squad again.
“He is still desperate to play for his country,” he said.
Although Evans can play on Friday, it is understood he will not be available for next Tuesday's game against Hungary.
