Rodney McAree says his Coleraine players must step up and give 100% in every game for the rest of the season.

The Coleraine boss is furious after two defeats and a draw have seen his side slip to sixth in the Danske Bank Premiership table.

He was speaking as a guest on our latest BetMcLean Football Show, in partnership with NIFL, now available to view on Cool FM’s Facebook page and to download as a podcast.

McAree says they all have to play their part.

“I think players have to give their all for the club that they are playing for – they have to show they are committed to the club they are playing for,” he said

“Friday night past was maybe an occasion where we maybe didn’t get that.

“I am not for calling out players – it is a collective thing – we win together and we lose together but everybody must give their all in every occasion.”

He is now vowing to draw on his experience to get Coleraine back on track.

“I have been through tough times – I know what tough times are like,” he tells us.

“I know what work you need to put into to try and get it to turn around and I will certainly be encouraging and making it as an enjoyable experience as I can in the foreseeable future to make sure things turn around and we start going in the right direction.”

Also guesting this week is Newry City's Declan Carville who talks about his side’s meteoric rise into the big-time – and how their focus is very much on staying in the top-tier.
