Glentoran 2-1 Crusaders

Awful conditions at the Oval made it hard for either team to string together anything of note, so there was no real surprise when the opener came on the back of a deflection. Crues striker Jamie McGonigle cut inside from the left wing before shooting from 20 yards in the 31st minute, his effort taking a big deflection off the unfortunate Willie Garrett en route to the net. Jordan Owens went close with a couple of headers as Crusaders took control, but failed to extend their lead in the first half.

Playing with the wind in their favour, Glentoran improved after the break and equalised in the 68th minute. Captain Marcus Kane swept them back into contention after being teed up inside the box by Gavin Peers.

The ref then awarded late penalty after O'Rourke was judged to have handled McDaid's cross. The striker then stepped up confidently to hammer his penalty under the keeper in the 87th minute and win the game for the Glens. Crusaders midfielder Jordan Forsyhthe was then shown a straight red card in the 90th minute to round off a miserable day for the Crues.

Dungannon Swifts 1-2 Cliftonville

Ryan Curran struck the post midway through the first half as Cliftonville dominated without finding a breakthrough. It didn't come until the second period, with Michael McCrudden scoring his first goal for the club, turning in Jamie Harney's flick at the back post with an hour played.

However, Cliftonville then missed a great chance to extend their lead as Conor McMenamin failed to convert from the penalty spot after Redman's foul on Gormley.

It proved to be a costly miss, as just minutes later Dungannon pulled level trough former Red Daniel Hughes who finished well from the edge of the area. However, Ryan Curren quickly made amends, scoring to restore Cliftonville's lead and send them through to the semis.

Ballinamallard 0-2 Ballymena

The Premiership side settled any nerves when they took a 17th minute lead through Josh Kelly, his strike looping over the keeper after being set up by Friel's cross from the right.

The Mallards were unable to work their way back into contention, and Ballymena put the game to bed with a 75th minute penalty, scored by Tony Kane.
