Belfast schoolgirl Amy Hunter has been called up to the Ireland women's cricket team for their T20 World Cup European Qualifier.

The 15-year-old is replacing wicketkeeper Shauna Kavanagh who had to withdraw after testing positive for coronavirus.

The teenager made her debut for Ireland only in May.

She will now be part of the team for the campaign which starts at La Manga resort in Spain on Thursday.

Ireland have games against Germany and Turkey before facing Scotland on Friday.

Then on Sunday and Monday they will meet France and the Netherlands.
