The ISPS Handa World Invitational is well underway at both Galgorm Castle and Massereene Golf Clubs on day 1.

The event, run by Niall Horan's Modest Golf group, takes place over the next four days with plenty of local interest.

Stephanie Meadow and Leona Maguire are the star local attractions in the Women's event, while Cormac Sharvin, Tom McKibbin and Dermot McElroy lead the Northern Irish interest in the Men's section.

A number of the recent Ireland amateur Home Internationals winners are also taking part.

Defending champion, England's Daniel Gavins, tees off with local favourites McKibbin and Italy's Guido Migliozzi at Galgorm Castle at 12.52pm.

Wednesday saw Tommaso Perrino take the G4D Tour title as the standard of disability golf continues to rise.

The Italian eased to a five shot victory, ahead of England's Kipp Popert and Irish favourites Brendan Lawlor at Galgorm.
