Co Down gymnast Rhys McClenaghan has vowed to come back even stronger after picking up a Silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

The Newtownards star was favourite to retain his pommel horse title - but was edged out of Gold by England's Joe Fraser.

McClenaghan said: "I knew there was more to come from my routine - that was definitely not the best reflection of my gymnastics.

"I am excited for the two next Majors this year - European Championships and World Championships where we need to put out better performances to make that podium and I am excited for that."

Elsewhere, Jasmin Javadian and Nathan Burns (below) picked up Bronze medals in judo for Team NI.

That brought the overnight medals haul to five.
