After a cool, grey, drizzly spell, temperatures are forecast to reach up to 20C in Northern Ireland later this week.

Warmer conditions will come as the jet stream moves north and high pressure over Scandinavia extends towards the UK drawing in mild air from Europe.

Make the most of the summery weather though, unsettled conditions are forecast to follow.

According to the latest Met Office forecast;

"It will feel pleasant from late-Wednesday into Thursday with sunshine for some. However, fresher winds and outbreaks of rain will affect the far northwest."

"Friday looks mostly dry and mild with a good deal of sunshine."

"A change to more unsettled weather is likely next weekend and into the following week, with temperatures trending back closer to average."

Hay-fever suffers should prepare, if you've escaped the sneezes and runny eyes so far.
