The partner of missing Co Antrim woman has made an emotional appeal for information, who was last seen on Saturday evening.

43 year old Nicola Murray was last seen walking by the shoreline near Cushendall Golf Club.

Boyfriend Arnold Stewart says she was going through a difficult time of late, with the loss of her mum coupled with losing her job through redundancy.

She was wearing in a short red coat, dark blue jeans and a pink-coloured beanie hat when she was last seen.

Arnold said: "It's been a horrendous period of time, no-one ever expects this to come to your door. You see some of these things on TV or hear them on the radio, but when you are in it and dealing with it, it brings it closer to home. I know for her family and friends and myself, it's been a very difficult few days."

He is desperate to know if anyone seen her in the area - or has any information about her whereabouts.

He continued: "She was seen in the beach area for around two hours - and there was also different things on including a christening party in the golf club - and it was the bank holiday weekend so there was maybe someone from outside the area how may have seen Nicky.

"I just want to encourage everyone to check the area, keep checking their building , their ground. Nicky maybe be somewhere hiding off because she wasn't well lately. So please just check all your grounds, there's a lot of fields around the area too as well as the sea.

"She could be anywhere, that's why we need more people to come forward who may help us in our search."

He says the past few days have been very difficult for everyone involved, and also thanked all of the public and community groups who have 'went out of their way to help' the search.

A Facebook page has been set up to help in the search, click here for more information.
