A nine-year-old boy who had been missing since yesterday afternoon was found safe and well this morning.

A major search operation had been under way since last night after Connor Creaney went missing from the Shankill area of Lurgan.

He had gone out to play with friends yesterday afternoon but didn't return home.

He was last seen at 3.30pm.

Police officers searched for the youngster overnight - supported by the PSNI helicopter.

At one stage residents were being urged to check sheds, garages and outbuildings in an effort to locate the boy.
