PSNI investigate priest in Dromore

The Diocese of Dromore has confirmed police are investigating an historic safeguarding allegation into one of its priests.

In a statement released on Saturday night, it said he has stepped aside from all public ministry pending the outcome.

It read: "The Diocese and the priest are cooperating fully with this ongoing investigation and will continue to do so.

"The Diocese cannot make further comment at this time whilst an investigation is ongoing."
