Visitors and residents in Portstewart are being encouraged to go on the hunt for new street art that has been scattered across the town.

13 pieces of Banksy inspired artwork are now darted across the promenade, on shop fronts and along parts of the sea wall as part of the new Street Art Portstewart Trail.

It launched last week (Thursday 15th March) but John Bradley, Chair of the Traders Association Portstewart, has said it will remain a permanent fixture.

He said: “We're launching on Thursday, the Portstewart Street Art Trail.

“We've got 13 pieces of street art dotted all along the promenade.

“There are two big pieces but we've also got smaller ones.

"They're Banksy style by a local artist.

"Piece that are associated with the business that the street art is attached to.

“And there's a trail you can either scan the QR code to get them up or there are maps along the promenade in the various shops, and you go off on the hunt and try to find all the different pieces of art.

“So, you can come in anytime, day or night, obviously.

“And it will be launched from St. Patrick’s Day onwards.”
