Police are appealing for witnesses after a masked man, armed with a hammer, ran towards a car in a supermarket car park in Portadown.

The people inside the vehicle weren't injured when happened yesterday evening at Asda

We're told when the car tried to drive off - it was blocked by another vehicle.

A PSNI statement reads: "A person wearing a mask and carrying a hammer, exited a white van parked near the collection and deliveries area of ASDA, Portadown and ran towards persons in a car. The car drove off but a black Landrover Doscovery attempted to block their exit to the carpark."

"No persons have been physically harmed during this incident."

"Were you in Asda carpark around this time or have dash cam footage?"

"If you have any information in relation to this incident please contact Police on 101 quoting serial 1329 of 24/11/2024."
