The 83-year-old was found in the garden of her Sydney Street home after 9 o'clock on Tuesday night.

It is believed she may have fallen from an upstairs bedroom window while trying to escape from the robbers.

The woman was treated at the scene by ambulance staff before being taken to hospital where her condition is critical.

The four men who ransacked her house made off in a black car towards Moore Street.

Police say they are treating the incident as attempted murder and are investigating whether it's linked to three other burglaries in Aughnacloy, Ballygawley and Seskinore.
