Police make a number of arrests following petrol bomb attack in Armagh

Police have made a number of arrests after reports that a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Armagh in the early hours of Friday morning.

A lit petrol bomb smashed a window in the Barrack Hill area around half past four.

Two people in the property were shaken - but uninjured.

Two women in their 20s were arrested - one's been released on bail - whilst the other remains in police custody.

A short time later police in Dungannon stopped a vehicle and recovered a suspected firearm and ammunition with two men - one in their 20s, the other in their 50s - arrested.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who may have information, including dashcam, CCTV or other video footage, to contact us on 101, quoting reference 183 of 11/8/23."
