Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Chris Heaton-Harris MP, took charge of his first football match in Northern Ireland.

The qualified referee oversaw a youth match at Downshire YM Football Club in Hillsborough.

Speaking afterwards, the Northern Ireland Secretary said: "I’d like to thank all at Downshire Football Club for their kind invitation and hospitality. My greatest appreciation goes to the boys who participated in a highly skilled and competitive match, and for making my job of officiating extremely memorable. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the club, its members, coaches and players, every success in the future."
