Employers across the country have joined our campaign to get a mental health first aider in every workplace.

Bosses at 50 well-known companies have signed an open letter to the Prime Minister including WH Smith, Weight Watchers and even Lord Alan Sugar.

Shaun Davis is a director at Royal Mail- he told us why they're also backing our 'Where's Your Head at' campaign.

“Anything that raises the profile that keeps mental health in the national consciousness and pushes the agenda forwards is going to be really good for individuals, for their families, their friends and for businesses.

“It’s showing that really visible commitment to a really important area.

“If you think that 1 in 4 will be affected by a mental health condition, that’s 1 in 6 people at work.

“There’s been a real interest in the mental health agenda and I think people will know either directly or indirectly, through friends and family, the impact mental health can have on people.

“We’re trying to say that physical and mental health are equally important.

“I think we need to create an environment and a culture where people will be comfortable about talking about it. That’s why it’s really important that senior leaders in organisations set the culture.

“We’re seeing in a number of organisations where senior leaders have talked about their own mental health challenges and that, I think, is very positive.

“To go an talk to a colleague or a mental health first aider at work and share that mental health challenge that you might be having could be exactly what somebody needs to help them overcome a challenging time in their life."
